NEWS: Educational workshop with Primery school Trstenik (Split)
Today we had the pleasure of hosting Primary school Trstenik (Split) students for an educational workshop on aquaculture and shellfish farming. They visited us as part of their STeam project, initially Steam femme junior, of the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb in cooperation with the City of Split and A1.Β ππ¬
Through an engaging and interactive session, students learned about mussel farming, the key role aquaculture plays in the future of food production, and the many benefits it brings β from preserving natural resources to providing nutrient-rich seafood.π π
We placed special emphasis on the importance of scientific research in developing sustainable aquaculture practices, and how science, the ocean, and the food we eat are all deeply connected. ππ
Big thanks to the students for their attention and curiosity β we hope we sparked a lasting interest in the ocean and science! β¨
Special thanks to pedagogue Lada PaveliΔ for connecting us and making this inspiring collaboration possible!π
